PRP for Hair Loss and PRP with Microneedling

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) is an autologous concentrated preparation of platelets and the associated growth factors in a small volume of plasma. Platelets are a natural source of a number of growth factors in their natural and biologically-determined ratios.

Platelets release growth factors which regulate the healing cascade by signaling to surrounding cells to repair damaged tissue and regenerate new tissue.

PRP with Microneedling

Platelet-Rich Plasma treatment (referred to as PRP) combines skin resurfacing with the application of blood-derived growth factors to significantly improve the surface of the skin, appearance of acne scars, hyperpigmentation, stretch marks, skin texture, fine lines, and wrinkles. The two-step treatment first begins with Micro-Needling to stimulate the body’s own natural healing process to increase collagen production and replace damaged skin cells with fresh, healthy ones. This initial step is enhanced by application of your body’s own nutrient rich plasma, releasing several essential growth factors and proteins in the treated area. A minimum of eight growth factors are activated, which serve a wide range of functions including regulating cell growth, repairing damaged tissue, and promoting collagen production and healthy cell production. PRP is the perfect solution to reverse dull skin, revealing a smooth, glowing complexion.

How is PRP derived?

PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) is derived from whole blood. During your visit, a small amount of blood is drawn from the patient, similar to a basic lab test. The patient’s blood is then placed into a centrifuge. During the centrifugation process, the red blood cells, white blood cells, and other inflammatory cytokines are separated from plasma, which contains platelets along with several platelet derived growth factors. Once the platelet-rich plasma is separated, it is drawn up into a syringe and micro-needled into the skin.

PRP is an effective treatment for:

  • Anti-Aging
  • Fine lines & wrinkles
  • Acne scars
  • Discoloration
  • Uneven skin tone
  • Improving skin texture
  • Surgical scars
  • Stretch marks

PRP Injections for hair loss and hair regrowth.

Platelet Rich Plasma treatment of the scalp and PRP hair restoration is a new and exciting treatment for hair loss and hair growth in men and women alike.

How does PRP therapy for hair growth work?

Our blood contains specific growth factors and mesenchymal stem cells that aid in healing and tissue regeneration. One of our technicians will draw your blood and through specific procedures, blood tubes and spinning in a centrifuge extract the platelet rich plasma which contains the desired growth factors and mesenchymal stem cells. We utilize the Eclipse system which provides one of the highest yields of extraction on the market.

Once PRP is obtained, the scalp is numbed and prepped and the high concentrated platelet rich plasma is injected via a thin needle in the desired locations. It is thought that PRP stimulates the hair follicles, promotes growth of specialized cells and blood vessels, promotes cell growth and differentiation, and promotes blood vessel growth, cell replication and skin formation.
