Christina Avilina, PA-C

Christina Avilina completed her Physician Assistant training in August of 2017 with a Master's Degree in Physician Assistant Studies at Idaho State University in Pocatello, Idaho. She is also in the process of completing the SDPA Diplomate Fellowship program in Dermatology. Christina will be joining us in August of 2024 with nearly 7 years of experience in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. Her special interests include early skin cancer detection and cosmetic procedures with the goal of natural-appearing results. Christina takes the time to identify the needs of each individual patient, tailor a customized treatment approach and focus on patient education and prevention strategies. She views each patient relationship as a long-term journey towards looking and feeling good in your skin.
Christina was born in Minsk, Belarus and immigrated to the United States when she was 9 years old. In 2010, she earned a Bachelor's Degree in Marketing from Lewis University in Romeoville, IL, where she also played for the Women's Volleyball team. She spent the next 3 years working as a Pharmaceutical Sales Representative for Boehringer-Ingelheim, educating medical providers about medications for the treatment of various medical conditions.
Christina's personal interests include spending time with her family, home improvement projects, finding new recipes to make and spending time in nature.
She is a native Russian speaker and speaks conversational Spanish. She is a member of the American Association of Physician Assistants and the Illinois Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants.
